Following the announcement of Tamin Energy Development Company (TEDCo), an investment holding specialized in the field of utilities and a subsidiary of Shasta (Social Security) for the designing, manufacturing, implementing and launching of PC-based monitoring systems instead of existing data Recorders, MECO company won the tender by scoring 98 out of 100 after quality evaluation and technical proposal submission and, consequently, put the project on its agenda.
The project involves the formation of a network hardware platform with a server and its switches, a number of recorders capable of storing multiple signals and recorders for peripheral systems – all of which are connected to the network. The aim of this project is to replace the PC-based supervision structure with data recorders, which provide users with a wide range of options in terms of availability and data analysis.
In this way, other objectives will also be achieved including the technical knowledge of power plant control systems from other manufacturers, product portfolio development, connecting with potential customers, conducting EPC projects in the field of control independently of construction projects in the VAT category and the expansion of already developed strategies for other power plants nationwide.
It is noteworthy that Toos Power Plant, with four 150-megawatt steam power plant units made by Brown Boveri Co., is one of the country’s best power stations and one of the largest electricity generation centers in Khorasan Razavi province.
