MAPCS Data Server Software (MAPDS)

The phrase ‘’MAPDS software’’ is derived from the term ‘’MAPCS Data Server’’ and its main function is to transfer data from the lower layers and hardware to the HMI layer.
This software, as a central server, is regarded as the data storage center and acts as the heart of this supervisory system. This layer is responsible for collecting the process equipment and plant information in different data forms of Historical data, Alerts, Database Records, files, etc. from various sources.
Another function of this software is to execute the scripts written using programming languages like C# and VB.NET as Server Scripts as well as to provide the clients with extracted information. The following figure represents the system architecture:
